Competitive Rope Skipping at an Elite Level

Skippers train with a high level of commitment, practicing a minimum of six hours per week. The volunteer coaches are dedicated individuals who donate their time for the love of the sport and our kids.In the competitive season, the Lincoln Leapers had both individuals and teams crowned overall champions at the Regional, Provincial and National levels. The Leapers have also had teams qualify for the World Championships and our teams have brought home both gold and bronze medals. We are pursuing a goal to make Rope Skipping an Olympic sport.

Previous team members have provided jump rope instruction at the Cirque de Soleil and some toured as a full time performer. Two former Leapers performed in the Disney movie “Jump In". Another Leaper alumni, Tonya Verbeek, went on to win silver and bronze medals at the past three Olympic games.
