Competitive Jump Rope at an Elite Level

Members of the Lincoln Leapers Jump Rope Team have attained Regional, Provincial, National and World Championship Titles in almost 30 years of participating in competitive jump rope.
In the 2010 – 11 competitive season, all Lincoln Leaper teams qualified to compete at the National level.  In July 2010, twelve Lincoln Leapers qualified to attend the World Rope Skipping Championships/Youth Games in Loughborough England.  They brought home 2 Gold Medals, a Silver Medal and a Bronze Medal as well as breaking a couple of National speed records and achieving several personal bests.
Two Lincoln Leaper teams will be working this coming year to qualify for the World Youth Games in July/Aug 2012 in Tampa Bay, Florida.

2009 -10 Competition Results:

• Regionals – February 27, 2010 at Saltfleet Secondary School, Hamilton, ON – look for results on the ORSO website – The Lincoln Leapers finish with four teams in 1st place overall!

• Nationals – May 15 - 17, 2010 at Carleton University, Ottawa, ON – look for results on the CRSF website
• World Rope Skipping Championships/World Youth Games – July 27 – Aug. 4, 2010 in Loughborough, UK, - the Lincoln Leapers brought home one Gold Medal in 12-14 yrs. female 4x45 double dutch speed (Canadian Record), Gold and Silver Medals in 15-17 female triple unders, and a Bronze Medal in 15-17 female 30 sec speed.
