The Lincoln Leapers are proud to announce 30 years in competitive jump rope! High school teacher, Tom Bailey first introduced skipping to his students in 1982 and had taken them on a road trip to Seattle for a workshop. Following the skipping workshop was the development of the Lincoln Leapers, which was the first competitive skipping team in Canada. Since the beginning, the Lincoln Leapers have been a non-profit association, evolved into a national competitor and now has their sites set on the Olympics.
The energetic leapers’ team is based out of Lincoln, Ontario and continues to represent the Niagara region. Community involvement plays a pivotal role within the Lincoln Leapers where we are privileged to be the official demonstration team for the Heart and Stroke Foundation’s "Jump Rope for Heart."
Our team currently consists of ____ (members of competitive team; X young jumpers in little leapers). Various members of our teams have travelled across the globe competing and performing shows, demonstrating their incredible talent where many hold provincial, national and even world records. The success of the Lincoln Leapers could not be achieved if it were not for the aid and assistance of our sponsors. Thanks to their continual support, we are able to compete at a local, provincial and national level. If you would like to join the team of supporters, please see our Sponsorship Letter outlining how your support may be attributed.
